Brief Biography for Emily Sturdevant, Licensed Aesthetician

Welcome to our latest addition to the team!

Aloha my name is Emily and I am a newly licensed aesthetician with several years of experience working with patients in dermatology offices. After graduating from National University in San Diego I made the move to the Big Island. I have had the pleasure of calling Kona home for almost 7 years, and the Big Island is where I discovered my love for medical dermatology. During the pandemic I decided to finally take the leap that I had been wanting to take and pursue my passion as an aesthetician. I wanted to be able to help transform people with my own hands. I went to Big Island Beauty Academy while continuing to be a medical assistant on days I wasn’t in school. After graduating and getting my license I made the switch to full time aesthetician and knew that I wanted to work for Mahinakealo Dermatology, where I am able to truly fulfill my passion of making people feel comfortable in their own skin.

On days I am not working you can find me either reading a book just about anywhere or spending the day with family at the beach under my spf umbrella enjoying all the Big Island has to offer.
