This office definitely deserves the high rating that they have here. I had my first appointment yesterday, and usually going to doctors makes me incredibly nervous because I have a fair number of health problems and don’t want more bad news. The office was incredibly clean and modern. The staff were so friendly and polite that I immediately felt at ease. The doctor was excellent. She was really very sensitive and compassionate and helpful. Overall, rarely can someone say that a medical experience was great, but in this case, I can: I highly recommend them if you need a dermatologist. I am so happy that they were accepting new patients and I managed to get in with them.

Albeit 5 stars might indicate perfection, I feel four stars is unjust. These girls are just incredible. They go way beyond the standard for helping me take care of my skin health. They hit their appointments; they manage their referrals; and they really put forth the effort to make me comfortable with the care I was getting when it was beyond their office’s capabilities. My only criticism is that they don’t have great referrals, but that’s hardly them that is to blame for this; Hawaii is underserved in healthcare. But they are Professional with a capital P. I feel like the Google reviews really got it right on this one. A fantastic addition to the Hawaiian health community that serves to elevate our standard of living. I am very thankful for these girls! Marne knows Aloha.

I can’t even say enough good things about this office! From the doctor who has helped me both medically and cosmetically to the aesthetician, assistants and front desk. Honestly can say I love them all! I had an unfortunate experience at another medi-spa that left me with permanent damage and Dr. Marne was incredibly compassionate and helpful. After repeated 100% positive experiences, I brought my elderly father, which I had concerns about a suspicious growth, and she treated and also found a surgeon to do the deeper work he needed. She honestly could be responsible for saving his life, as he was very stubborn about needing treatment. I am beyond grateful! In addition I am a professional bikini competitor and judged on my skin in addition to musculature and she keeps me looking my best. I’m constantly getting shocked responses when I tell people my age. Thank you to the whole team at Mahinakealo, you all are excellence in practice.

I have been a patient of Marne’ for many years, and she has always treated me with respect, honesty and compassion. Several years ago I developed plantar warts, in part due to medication that lowered my immune system. At the same time, I developed a foot and nail fungus due to my hyperhidrosis (excess sweating). I went to another doctor here in Hawaii and 3 doctors on the Mainland, and she was the one doctor who got it right. The warts were very painful and took a long time to heal. Marne’ never gave up on me, and gave my me guidance to make sure I did not spread the warts.
She truly cares, and I feel very comfortable in trusting her judgment.

She takes a true interest in her patients, and is a pleasure to deal with. I have been treated for a stubborn Dermatology condition for at least 50 years, much of it in the NY metropolitan area.
